Cell Phone Use Deemed Cause of Fairfield CT Accident
A Fairfield man caused a car accident on Kings Highway in Fairfield, CT on Saturday night while distracted by use of his cell phone. The distracted driver in Fairfield CT, Mohamed Moussa, 23, was talking on his cell phone while driving as he ran a red light. As he passed through the red light, he cut off another vehicle, which hit the rear of his car. Moussa then drove off, leaving the scene of the accident.
Two witnesses were able to corroborate the report.
Police later found a vehicle matching the description. There was damage to the rear bumper.
Moussa was detained and charged with reckless driving, evading responsibility, disregarding a red light, and distracted driving.
