Wrong Way Driver from New Britain Causes Fatal Head On Accident

A vehicle driving the wrong way on the westbound side of the Massachusetts Turnpike near exit 6 in Ludlow collided head-on with another car, causing a 4 car pile up. Both drivers injured in the wrong way head on accident were from Connecticut. The accident occurred around 8:30pm on Saturday, September 8th.

Police identified Clarence Lux, 84, of New Britain, CT, as the wrong way driver killed in last night's head-on car crash. Robert Magee, 28, of West Bridgewater was the second victim. Lux and Magee were pronounced dead at Bay State Medical Center.

Police had received multiple calls about the wrong way driver before the accident, but were unable to locate the vehicle before the tragic crash.
