This past Monday, a school bus struck a pedestrian on Glenville Road in Greenwich, CT.
The pedestrian was a 57-year-old Greenwich woman who was crossing Glenville at the Lake Avenue traffic circle about 4 p.m.
The force of the accident threw the woman onto the road where she struck her head. She then slid into the oncoming lane of traffic. Fortunately, she was not struck by any other vehicles. There were no crosswalks nearby.
The victim was taken to Stamford Hospital Care Unit for treatment. Her name and exact injuries have not yet been released.
The bus was carrying students from a local private school.
