A CT wrong way driver, Gregory Albert, 20, of Centereach, Long Island, was driving south in the north lane of the Merritt parkway in Greenwich, CT when he slammed head-on into a north bound car. The collision occurred at about 3:24 a.m, totalling both cars and sending three passengers to the hospital.
Albert's Nissan Rogue crashed in to a Toyota Camry being driven by a 51-year-old Bronx, New York woman, with a female relative and owner of the vehicle from New Haven.
All occupants were sent to Stamford Hospital as a result of this CT wrong way driver.
The passenger of the Toyota was suffering from back, leg and abdomen injuries while her sister suffered leg and back injuries. All occupants were wearing seat belts. Albert did not appear injured in the crash.
Albert was cited for driving the wrong way and being an uninsured motorist.
