Wednesday November 5, 2012, around 4 p.m. a fatal bus crash occurred at the Mohegan Sun Casino.
Pui Yi Li, a 62-year-old from Elmhurst, New York, was struck by a commercial bus as she was crossing Sandy Desert Road.
Lin Qi Si, 38, of Braintree, Massachusetts, was driving the bus that struck Li.
Li was transported to William W. Backus Hospital where she died from injuries sustained during the fatal bus crash.
This fatal bus crash isn't the first fatal bus crash to occur at Mohegan Sun. In 2004, a West Haven man was struck by a casino bus in almost the same place.
In April 2008, another casino employee was killed by a hit-and-run driver while walking along Route 32.
