On August 20 at approximately 10:15 p.m., 51-year-old Mark Floberg of Shelton was located in a truck crashed into a utility pole. He was extricated from the truck and taken to the hospital with serious injuries. Police also located the front bumper of a Mazda at the scene.
The Mazda, traveling west on Myrtle Street had struck the pick up truck and the impact caused the truck to hit the utility pole. The driver of the Mazda had fled the scene of the accident.
The driver of the Mazda, 25-year-old Scott Condon of Shelton, was located and arrested. He is being charged with second degree assault with a motor vehicle, DUI, evading responsibility, and failure to obey a stop sign.
Floberg is still at the hospital in ICU.
