On Tuesday, August 28th, a Connecticut fatal car accident occurred on I-95 in Milford. Chauncey Shoulders, 26, of Twin Circle Road in West Haven stopped in the center lane of I-95N Tuesday night and his car was rear-ended by an SUV around 11:30 p.m. on Tuesday, August 28. Shoulders was taken to Yale-New Haven Hospital a short time after the crash, where his injuries proved to be fatal.
Shoulders' 1994 Pontiac Bonneville was struck on the right rear, sending it spinning toward the right side of the roadway. The car ended up on the right shoulder of the highway. The Ford Explorer driven by Mario Selittie of West Haven and owned by the Annointed Tabernacle Church, veered off to the left after the collision and wound up against the barrier. Selittie suffered minor injuries.
The north side of the highway between exits 37 and 39A was closed for some time.
