Accident Victim Who Required Surgical Intervention Awarded $250,000
At approximately 1:13 PM on October 7, 2019, our client was driving her motor vehicle on a public road, located in the City of Danbury. Suddenly, the passenger side of her vehicle was struck by another driver.
The crash was so violent that our client's vehicle suffered damage to the quarter panel, door, bed, and wheels. She sustained multiple injuries as a result of the impact, including a concussion, cervical disc extrusion, lumbar disc bulge, and extrusion. Her cervical injuries were so severe that she required an Anterior Cervical Discectomy (ADF) as well as a laminoplasty with a partial laminectomy.
At the time of this accident, our client was working when she was hit by the at-fault driver. Her employer filed a claim with workers' compensation to ensure her medical bills and any lost wages were paid to her while she was unable to work.
Our office was successful in obtaining the full insurance policy amount of the at-fault driver, awarding our client $250,000.
