This past Saturday, September 22, 2012, an accident involving a jackknifed tractor trailer and a car sent two people to the hospital. The accident happened shortly before 6 a.m.
The tractor trailer jackknifed between exits 19 and 18 on I-95 south when it rolled down into an embankment. The driver escaped without injury.
A passenger vehicle was very seriously damaged in the accident and the occupants had to be removed by firefighters using hydraulic rescue tools. The driver and passenger were taken to the hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.
